The Director of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) Cordially invites you to attend GVSC Vehicle Electrification Forum Thursday, May 30, 2019 Automation Alley 2675 Bellingham Drive, Troy, MI 48083 Schedule • Registration: 8:00 a.m. • Presentations and Interactive Discussions: 8:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. • Open Feedback and Q&A: 3:40 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Objective: GVSC is the U.S. Army's Research, Development and Engineering Center for all Ground Vehicles and Ground Vehicle Systems technology and integration, as well as Fuels and Lubricants, Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment, Tactical Military Bridging, Construction Equipment, Material Handling Equipment, and Army Watercraft. GVSC Vehicle Electrification Forum serves to advance electrification of Army combat and tactical systems by enabling industry to invest and innovate on products that meet Army needs/requirements and which can be integrated into systems with minimal cost and schedule. The Forum is a mechanism for industry to contribute to the formation of GVSC's Vehicle Electrification Strategy. The Strategy has three main focus areas: 1. Open Architecture (data, power, modularity, scalability) 2. Cyber, Safety (high voltage, battery safety) 3. Electric Recharging and Hydrogen Refueling At this session we will focus on the Army's Combat and Tactical Vehicle Strategy as it relates to electrification; electric combat vehicle architectures; vehicle-centric microgrid developments; key component preliminary requirements; and a review of ongoing and future programs of record. We will also review future activities for the Forum and the schedule for releasing the final Vehicle Electrification Strategy. This Forum is aimed to inform industry stakeholders of the direction of the GVSC Vehicle Electrification Strategy and to solicit feedback on its elements. This is not a business development opportunity - engineering staff participation is strongly encouraged.
