The Contracting Flight, 460 CONF/PKA at Buckley AFB, CO is conducting preliminary planning market research to obtain information from potential and eligible contractors for contemplated award of a purchase order for the 460th Civil Engineering Squadron. This contracting effort will be subject to the availability of funds. Permanent F-16 Aircraft Fire Training mock-up compliant mobile unit with six (6) liquid propane gas (LPG) fire scenarios: Cockpit, Cargo, and passenger area. Provides sixty (60) cubic feet per minute (CFM) smoke generation system, stainless steel pilots, stainless steel fuselage, main power distribution panel, port and rear door w/ entry stairs, compartment lighting and multiple ground fault interrupter (GFI) power receptacles, and panel for piercing nozzles. Safety Systems: Certified by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRLT), monitored and interlocked pilot, fail safe valves, drawn sample gas detection system, temperature monitoring system, integral ventilation exhaust system. Controls: PC touch panel with human-machine interface (HMI), programmable logic controller (PLC) computer controls, quick burner technology, wireless pendent controls, data recording, remote diagnostics. Permanently mounted fires include a cockpit fire, engine intake fire, Wing fuel tank fire, nose landing gear fire, afterburner fire, and main wheel/brake fire. If you see the second page of the attached Draft SOW, it depicts the burners. Basically it's like a propane grill and each of those burners gets ignited with propane. These areas are the most common an F-16 would have a fire. Six (6) fires independently controlled from the wireless device and independently monitored by a burner management system With regards to Remote diagnostics: We are referring to the Wireless remote control, this allows a safety officer to control the fires using a wireless remote control device.
