- Description
- The Tactical Networks Program Office (PMW 160) is excited to be hosting an Industry Day event on 19 June 2019 for the Enhanced Piers Bandwidth Solution requirement. The event will be held from 8:00 AM TO 12:00 PM (PST) at a location yet to be determined at or near the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), 4301 Pacific Hwy, San Diego, CA 92110. Check in begins at 7:30 AM (PST) on the day of the event. To ensure a successful conference, we encourage interested parties to RSVP to Ms. Emily Cook at emily.f.cook.ctr@navy.mil, no later than 2:00 PM (PST) on 17 May 2019. Interested parties should provide the company name, address, telephone number, point of contact, and number of attendees. PMW 160 is seeking sources to provide a global, affordable and streamlined network IP transport service which will service ships in port and connect them to the shore networking infrastructure. The Government seeks a commercially provided, Pier Connectivity as a Service capability based service delivery model that supports an on demand scalable service level and associated business model to meet a range of operational requirements. The desired solution will permit the Government to leverage commercial transport best practices and current DoD investment in terrestrial transport, moving away from todays ATM or T1 architecture model. The objectives of the Enhanced Piers Bandwidth Solution Industry Day are: I. To promote competition on the proposed Enhanced Piers Bandwidth Solution; ii. To develop industry understanding of the Governments current vision and objectives as referenced in the Enhanced Piers Bandwidth Solution Request for Information (RFI) released on 18 March 2019 (provided for reference only, please do not submit RFI responses at this time); and iii. To provide industry with the opportunity to meet with the Government early in the procurement process to provide input into the PMW 160 procurement strategy. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (02-MAY-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
