- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Atlanta VA Medical Center intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Neuroelectrics for the STARSTIM R32. Investigators at the Atlanta VA Medical Center s Rehabilitation Research & Development Center for Neurocognitive Rehabilitation (CVNR) are conducting research which uses non-invasive brain stimulation, which is essential for researching rehabilitation strategies for motor and cognitive rehabilitation. This includes transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS), and transcranial noise stimulation (tNS). The Neuroelectrics Starstim 32 is the only transcranial stimulation system available for sale for investigational use in the United States that has integrated EEG monitoring. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Wednesday, May 8th, 4:00, EST. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
