- INTRODUCTION The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract using DESIGN-BUILD selection procedures for the conversion of a Dental Conference Room to Dental Patient Rooms at the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS) Omaha Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Omaha, Nebraska. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The purpose of this project is to provide design and construction services to construct dental patient rooms in Building 6 and renovate the dental lab in the basement of Building 1 on the HWIHCS Omaha Medical Center campus. This project will renovate approximately 935 square feet in Building 6 and approximately 615 square feet in Building 1. Provide all labor, materials, tools equipment, design and construction services necessary to complete the design and subsequent construction of the project. ADMINISTRATIVE The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 20, 2019. The period of performance is approximately 270 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
