Page 3 of 3 This project is located at White River Junction VA Medical Center, VT Building 31 Main hospital. The intent of the project is a complete renovation of approximately 20,000 square feet of the inpatient unit, located on the 1st floor in building 31 as well as 7500 Square Feet of the ground floor. This is a multiphase construction project including substantial renovations to the ground floor of Building 31 in preparation for service as temporary inpatient space during phased construction. The existing and new finished space is a medical and surgical inpatient unit. Work shall include architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, hazardous material abatement, communications, patient call, medical gasses, HVAC, and all such systems and components as may be necessary to completely renovate this inpatient unit. Provide all the necessary supervision, labor, equipment, material, transportation, testing, site surveying and infrastructure required to complete work for Inpatient Ward Renovation, Project No. 405-13-104, White River Junction Veterans Affairs Medical Center, White River Junction, Vermont in accordance with the Contract Documents, including Technical Specifications and Drawings. Technical Specifications and Drawings were prepared by e4HArchitecture MorrisSwitzer Environments for Health and are titled; 405-13-104 Bidding and Construction Specifications May1 2019 Vol1 405-13-104 Bidding and Construction Specifications May1 2019 Vol2 The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are qualified SDVOSBs, VOSBs, WOSBs, and Small Businesses that have the experience within a hospital environment for this type of work and if such firms are interested in this procurement. The magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 to $20,000,000. The NAICS code is 236220 and the small business size standard is $36.5 Million. Interested firms should indicate their interest to the Contracting Officer not later than 4:30 PM EST on 5/20/2019 via email to Stacy.Dion@va.gov. The following information is required in response to this notice: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal in response to a solicitation for this project; (2) Two (2) comparable projects of similar size and scope within the past five (5) years in a medical facility setting; (3) Prime shall provide proof of bonding capacity for a project of this magnitude; (4) Prime shall provide proof of insurance for a construction project of this magnitude; (5) Proof of cost control successes on prior projects; (6) Proof of successful schedule adherence and project management, to include successful project phasing; (6) Firms shall provide proof of valid Joint Venture or Teaming Arrangements, if applicable; (7) SDVOSB or VOSB firms shall be verified by the Center for Veteran Enterprises (CVE), if applicable; and (8) Firms shall hold active SAM registration All information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested firms. Failure to submit all information requested in addition to the below form will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested concern. If adequate interest is not received by 4:30 PM EST on 5/20/2019, this action will not be set-aside for SDVOSBs, VOSBs, WOSBs, or Small Business firms.
