- This is a Pre-Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS PRESOLICITATION NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ). VENDORS SHOULD NOT SUBMIT FORMAL QUOTES UNTIL THE RFQ IS POSTED. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for the information resulting from this posting. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN16, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for TRANSDUCER PROBES required at the New Orleans VAMC. This is a competitive 100% Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside procurement utilizing FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items that will result in a single Firm-fixed-Price Purchase Order. To be eligible for an VOSB set aside under VA s Veterans First Contracting Program, VOSBs must 1) be verified by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as VOSB (see https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov for details), and 2) meet the small business size standard for NAICS 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing (Size Standard 1000 employees). 36C25619Q0802 is anticipated to be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on or about 7 May 2019. The estimated response deadline is 14 May 2019 at 2:00 PM CDST contingent upon the exact posting of this solicitation. The actual due date will be stated in Block 8, Page 1 of the solicitation. Quoters should continue to monitor FBO for the RFQ and any subsequent Amendments to that RFQ. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES AT THIS TIME.
