Description
Description: Sources Sought Request to determine the interest and feasibility of potential vendors capable of providing the government with an Ultrasonic Weapons System Cleaner for the USAF Honor Guard at Bolling AFB. This is for information purposes and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government, nor the U.S. Government pay for the information solicited. The information from this notice will help the USAF Honor Guard at Bolling AFB to plan their acquisition strategy. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a request for proposal. No solicitation exists at this time. The 11th Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified businesses to provide Ultrasonic Weapons System Cleaner for Honor Guard use. For this acquisition the NAICS code is 333999. All responding businesses are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business to this NAICS code size standards 500 EMP. Interested businesses responding to this market survey must provide a capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Government's requirement for the above IAW 19.502-2(a). Please submit all information to william.toth.4@us.af.mil 12:00 PM on 21 May 2019. No telephone calls will be accepted. 1. This memorandum is to identify the technical specifications required for the implementation of an ultrasonic weapons maintenance system: (a) Small business based in the United States. (b) Supplier provides a proven ultrasonic system designed specifically for firearms, which can be integrated into an existing facility with a footprint not to exceed 100 square feet. (c) Supplier shall provide a proven system possessing the architecture necessary to be capable of incorporating into a mobile asset, i.e. enclosed trainer or similar application. (d) System shall be scalable and capable of configurations that may be transported within palletized stacks or inside container sizes currently utilized. (e) All equipment shall be manufactured in the United States. (f) All chemicals shall be manufactured in the United States. (g) Supplier shall provide a lubricant designed specifically for firearms lubrication that meets the following conditions: • Not be petroleum based • Have a specific gravity (relative density compared to water) above 1.027 (h) Supplier shall provide a solvent designed specifically for firearms cleaning that is PH neutral (i) Supplier shall provide a consultant on-site for domestic locations once equipment is available to provide training in use and maintenance for a minimum of 2 days. (j) Supplier shall provide phone support as needed for each module as needed. (k) Supplier has the capability to provide quantities of solvent and/or lubricant in volume increments from 1 to 250 gallons each as necessary to support the mission. (l) Minimum size must be capable of containing a standard sized modern infantry rifle (m)System and chemicals shall be compatible with 4150 steel as well as polymer composite components (n) Tanks should have minimum dimensions of 42" length 8" width and 8" depth to accommodate commonly deployed side arms and infantry/patrol rifles (o) Minimum warranties of 10 years for transducer defects, 5 years for ultrasonic generators, and 2 year guarantee on sheet metal defects and workmanship NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (06-MAY-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
