Description
This is an intent to Sole Source announcement. The Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to ThermoAnalytics, Inc., 23440 Airpark Blvd, Calumet, MI 49913-3923. The vendor will provide applied research advanced technology engineering services to support developing and validating thermocline and wake computer models. These computer software models allow the physics based modeling and simulation of the ocean thermocline and the wakes produced by marine crafts, and supports the prediction of infrared and electro-optical sensor detection ranges and vulnerability analysis using the NIWC Pacific Code 55280 TrueView software. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Purchase Order to be awarded IAW Simplified Acquisition FAR Part 13. No hard copy RFQ will be prepared or made available for distribution. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Questions regarding this sole source contract may be directed to cedric.cunningham@navy.mil. This is not a request for proposals, but any firm believing it has the capability to perform these services will be considered by the Navy. Capability statements may be submitted to cedric.cunningham@navy.mil. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis, and must clearly show the firms ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of services provided. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541715; the size standard is 1000 employees. System Award Management Contractor Registration is required for all vendors doing business with the Department of Defense. Information may be found at http://www.sam.gov.
