Description
Page 2 of 2 Letter of Intent The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton VA 23667, intends to negotiate a Sole Source Firm-Fixed Price contract for a Vbeam Perfecta Gray System; GentleMax Pro System w/DCD and related equipment for the Durham VAMC, with Syneron Candela, via GSA Contract # V797P-4232B. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(c). This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that this equipment is highly specialized and is only available via one source. The requested product will be procured without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of supply will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of May 13, 2019 to Syneron Candela, 530 Boston Post Rd., Wayland, MA 01778. This is a Brand-Name Only requirement to satisfy the minimum requirements of the Durham VAMC Dermatology Clinic. The requiring activity is currently in need Vbeam Perfecta Gray System and a GentleMax Pro System w/DCD. The equipment will seamlessly integrate into the existing Vbeam Pefecta System and Dermatology infrastructure already in place within the Durham VAMC. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the Contracting Officer within five (3) calendar days of this publication by contacting Tiffany Pimble via e-mail at tiffany.pimble@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are a large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a), woman owned business, service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, and or a GSA Contract holder. The firm must also indicate whether they are an U.S. or foreign owned business. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.
