FED-BIZ-OPPS 36C24519Q0316 Closes 5/15/2019 @1000AM Location: Beckley VA Medical Center, WV The objective of this project is to improve safety and security on medical center property by the contractor providing: The addition of Seven (7) New Emergency Call Boxes that communicate by radio transmission with customer provided radios. The replacement of two (2) malfunctioning Emergency Call Boxes with call boxes able to communicate by radio transmission with customer provided radios. The replacement of Four (4) currently installed Emergency Call Boxes with call boxes able to communicate by radio transmission with customer provided radios. The Contractor will provide a total of Six (6) new call boxes, Five (5) free standing Emergency Call Boxes with direct burial poles that operate off Solar power in locations as listed in Appendix A. One (1 ) Solar power wall mounted unit on block pillar at Building 1 main canopy/patient valet entrance. One (1 ) light pole mounted replacement at the front of the main patient parking lot, AC powered. One (1 ) wall mounted replacement on the parking garage 4th floor North side, AC powered. One (1 ) light pole mounted replacement unit center of patient parking lot, AC powered. One (1 ) light pole mounted replacement unit Doctor parking lot, AC powered. The Contractor will provide all equipment and materials necessary for the installation of this project. Vendor shall provide all labor, equipment and material required to mount, provide power to, and the installation or repair of emergency call boxes, associated hardware as needed. This will include the Solar Emergency Call Box, with flashing blue light on top, customer defined labels and wording. Customer provided radio installation and testing. All needed mounting hardware, poles, conduit, call stations, cables, batteries, connectors, connection electrical or solar power as needed, and general labor for installation and repairs. Contractor must be Safety Act Certified. Vendor must provide a 2-year parts/support warranty on all equipment for the newly installed system and repairs. Vendor will ensure that any wall penetrations are filled with appropriate fire-stop material. Vendor will provide at least 8 hours basic trouble shooting and repair training to Bio Med staff. Contractor must coordinate inspections of penetrations with VA personnel. All questions submitted in writing NLT May 10, 2019 at 1630 PM will be answered.
