- Project Title: Correct Legionella Deficiencies The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment, insurance, supervision and any other items required to complete the Upgrade Water Systems for Legionella & Improve Water Deficiencies project at the Hot Springs VAMC, 500 North 5th Street, SD, 57747. Construction Project 568A4-18-205, includes but it not limited to the following: Install four (4) water treatment/monitoring systems (Sanikill Monochloramine systems in four (4) separate buildings) Install one (1) water conditioner system to reduce plumbing corrosion. Removal of one (1) water treatment system Installation of four (4) eye wash stations Installation of water treatment equipment cage in building 29 to restrict patient access. Electrical updates Plumbing updates One (1) area has asbestos and will require personal protective equipment (PPE) if accessed. Improving water circulation via the following in several buildings. Dead leg removal Plumbing fixture removal Patch area where plumbing fixture or dead leg was removed Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, electrical, necessary demolition and certain other items necessary for the completion of this project. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and drawings of the solicitation (when available) and all applicable local and VA codes. Solicitation Number 36C26319B0005 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about May 27, 2019. This solicitation will contain all necessary Scope of Work, specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled for the week of June 3-7, 2019. (See solicitation when available for specific date/time/location). Bids are tentatively scheduled to be due on or about June 27, 2019 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/location of public bid opening). The Period of Performance is expected to be 180 calendar days from the receipt of the Notice-To-Proceed (NTP). THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
