Description
Synopsis: This announcement serves as a Pre-Solicitation Notice Only and Not a solicitation. The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) Office of Acquisitions, intends to issue a solicitation to seek a vendor who will provide services to the Community Living Center at the New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS) located at 1501 San Pedro SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108, with a qualified contractor to provide janitorial services. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision and management support and equipment supplies/consumables/ and materials to facilitate medical /healthcare cleaning and disinfection, hazardous waste handling, infection prevention and safety. Employees must be appropriately certified and possess the skills and experience to perform the services as required in all forms of medical and terminal cleaning including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) certified, Operating Room Protocol, Blood Born Pathogen Training and Product Training. Facilities are to be maintained with acceptable levels of cleanliness that meet Aseptic Cleaning Medical Industry Standards and the Joint Commission. Contractor shall provide environmental sanitation services for the CLC Areas that contain the above characteristics and require special housekeeping techniques. Contractor shall understand and utilize appropriate sanitation procedures. Control and monitor to ensure that all sanitation requirements are properly and efficiently addressed. Understand diseases and know the proper chemicals and methods of cleaning. Take on responsibilities to include processing and disassembling assigned noncritical medical equipment for cleaning and  properly disassembling supply items, avoiding damage or unnecessary wear. These responsibilities require to sort, clean and disinfect non-critical Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) if needed (e.i as feeding pumps, Alaris pump module (PCA), KCI wound vacuums, Bard Criticore Monitor, Volume Metric/Vital Metrics, and Gaymar pump). The CLC is approximately 16,600  Sq/Ft  and will require coverage between the hours of 7:00 am thru 3:30pm, 7 days a week to include all federal holidays. At least one (1) deep cleaning of every patient room will be done monthly this includes a total of 15 patient rooms that vary from 230 - 245 sq/ft. The Contractor shall provide all the necessary supplies needed to perform the terms of the contract to include all equipment, transportation, and chemicals. In addition, the contractor will be responsible for providing stock supplies for the CLC an item list will be provided for a detail list of Government provided supplies and Contractor provided supplies. The Government anticipates awarding a single Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract as a result of the solicitation. The period of performance for this procurement shall consist of one (1) base period (to last one 4 months, and four 4 option periods consisting of 12 months each. The Request for Proposal (RFP) shall require the submission of a technical proposal as well as a price proposal. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the FBO website for the issuance of the RFP as well as any updates to the solicitation. All contractors must be currently registered (have an active registration) in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) (http://www.sam.gov). Further, Offerors are required to complete their Online Representations and Certifications under SAM.gov prior to submittal of a proposal. All responsible sources may submit a proposal in response to the solicitation in accordance with the terms and conditions of the solicitation, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be posted to Federal Business Opportunities on or about May 13, 2019.
