Description
PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Project #652-19-110 Construct 2nd Garage Elevator The Department of Veterans Affairs, Hunter Homes Mcguire1201 Broad Rock, Richmond, VA has a requirement for a Construct of 2nd Garage Elevator. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment as necessary to construct the 2nd Garage Elevator for Project 652-19-110, at the Hunter Holmes Mcguire VAMC, Richmond, VA. General Scope: The recently constructed four-story parking garage and associated site improvements helped to improve the campus parking situation. The parking garage is located on the north side of the hospital campus. The parking garage structure is primarily comprised of precast concrete components. The existing double elevator shaft is included in the south stair towers. The tower is enclosed on the exterior sides with precast shear walls and glazing. The elevator shaft is also comprised of precast concrete components. The tower is topped with a precast concrete spandrel panel roof. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, plant and supervision to install the second elevator in the existing shaft. The contractor shall install a new hydraulic elevator with a control system fully compatible with the existing Thyssen Krupp elevator. Work shall include, but not be limited to: Install hydraulic piston in existing piston hole located in the existing elevator shaft. Install hydraulic pump and controls in existing mechanical room. Provide all necessary hydraulic piping from the pump to the elevator piston. All wall penetrations shall be sealed. Install elevator car and all necessary accessories in the existing elevator shaft. Using existing underground conduit located in the elevator shaft, pull wire to panel MDP located in the electrical room. Provide additional conduit, as necessary to extend existing conduit in elevator shaft into the mechanical room. Use existing 480V 80A 3p breaker to provide power for the new elevator equipment. Provide wiring for a new single phase 120V circuit from panel LP1 for elevator lighting and accessories. Tie elevator controls into existing fire alarm system. Provide industry startup and testing for the new elevator system with the elevator installer providing 12 month service warranty (labor and materials) as part of the equipment installation. Contractor shall provide all warranty documentation upon turning over to the Government. At the conclusion of construction work, the contractor shall remove all pedestrian barriers and repair all damaged finishes in the affected construction area. Signage for the elevator shall be in accordance with the attached reference drawings Project# 652-313 Construct New Parking Garage Estimated construction magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. NAICS CODE: 238290 Size Standard: $15.0 Million This solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about May 27, 2019. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Proposals will be due approximately 18 days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals.
