Description

Amendment 6923G519Q0530A00003 is available as an attachment and must be signed and returned with all offers to be considered for award. This amendment serves to answer questions submitted by an interested vendor. Questions and Answers Question: Once the barge/drilling platform is on location, will we be allowed to tie-off/dock somewhere in the area to prevent going through the locks at the end/beginning of each work day? Answer: The Contractor can moor on the mooring wall at the Maintenance/Marine Base but must limit the mooring to no further upstream than the second button in from the southeast corner (as shown on Drawing SLS-340-79 in the bid package), to allow enough room for the Performance Tug to maneuver. This gives more than 50 linear feet length of mooring wall. A few items the Contractor must take into consideration: 1. The Contractor may be required to move plant equipment if it interferes with SLSDC operations. 2. The Contractor is responsible for verifying the available draft along the mooring wall. Bottom elevations are given on Drawing SLS-340-79, but are only approximations. Average top of water elevation is given on Drawing SLS-340-79, but can vary as much as 1' +/- throughout the day depending on vessel traffic. 3. There are only the first two buttons in from the southeast corner, that are available to the Contractor to use for mooring plant equipment. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (10-MAY-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
