Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. It is the Government's intent to issue a Firm Fixed Priced Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13. The solicitation number is FDA_SOL_1209065. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2019-01 dated January 22,2019. The appropriate North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The Small Business Size standard is 1,000 employees. This requirement is solicited as a Full and Open competition. Statement of Work The FDA/NCTR/DGMT requires for a touch-screen, Multi-Organ-Chip Control Unit designed to operate 24 pneumatic micropumps and microfluidic systems, with adjustable fluid speed and direction control, automatic pump leakage control, external vacuum supply, digital pressure and vacuum control, which allows for different user settings and reports, a IPS touchscreen, pump tubing and pump connection ports, and power supply compatible with U.S. electrical plug and voltage specifications, to operate up to four separate two-tissue organ-on-a-chips. There are no other instruments needed to interact with the Control Unit or operate the chips. The Control Unit need not be compatible with other instruments or equipment. This Control Unit will support future DGMT projects and collaborations within FDA.
