Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses. Responses to this notice shall include: Company Name Address Point of Contact Phone, Fax, and Email DUNS number Cage Code Type of business, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), HUB Zone, Women Owned Small Business, SDB Must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform the work described below: The Kansas City VA Medical is looking to procure an Endoflip Advanced Imaging System and Endoflip 2.0 Software Application is designed to optimize procedural effectiveness to determine achalasia, and clinically indicated for esophageal dysphagia, eosinophilic esophagitis, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. It contains the highest diagnostic yield of any test to determine an accurate treatment protocol. This solicitation uses a Brand Name or Equal Description of the product required. This permits prospective contractors to offer products other than those specifically referenced by brand name. This is a new system and will work independently from any other systems or software. Internal view of the gastroesophageal (GE) junction during endoscopic procedures, allowing for achalasia or GEJ outflow obstruction to be determined during procedure. Clinically indicated to assist in evaluating gastrointestinal disorders, including achalasia, esophageal dysphagia, eosinophilic esophagitis, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. Flip Topography displays and measures esophageal contractility patterns. Early detection of major motility disorders during endoscopy Provides an alternative and/or complementary method to high resolution manometry (HRM) for the evaluation of non-obstructive dysphagia. Assists in determining the optimum gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) surgical technique for patients being considered for surgery. Real-time measurement data allowing for provider to measure a stricture before dilation, or measure esophageal lumen opening after dilation during endoscopy. Able to be used in gastroparesis patients to determine likely responders to Botox or dilation. This procurement is for new OEM medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment (i.e. replacement parts) for VA Medical Centers. No remanufactures or gray market items will be acceptable. (b) Vendor shall be an OEM, authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment (i.e. replacement parts), verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM, such that the OEM s warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. (c) The delivery of gray market items to the VA in the fulfillment of an order/award constitutes a breach of contract. Accordingly, the VA reserves the right enforce any of its contractual remedies. This includes termination of the contract or, solely at the VA s election, allowing the Vendor to replace, at no cost to the Government, any remanufactured or gray market item(s) delivered to a VA medical facility upon discovery of such items.
