Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract using DESIGN-BUILD selection procedures for the Expand Radiology & SPS project at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 510 E Stoner Ave, Shreveport, LA 71101. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project will include the design and construction of a 3rd and 4th floor addition to the South Wing, Building #1 (main hospital), to support expansions to the facility s Radiology Service and Sterile Processing Service (SPS). Work includes energy efficient design, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, plumbing, utility systems, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, subsystems and components. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 1, 2018. The period of performance is approximately 980 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to thomas.council@va.gov.
