The Department of Veterans Affairs, VHA, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center is seeking potential sources that are capable of providing, fingerstick glucose, including all handheld analyzers, reagents, standards, controls, supplies, consumable/disposable items, parts, accessories and any other item necessary for the generation of a patient Cost per Reportable Result (CPRR) or Cost per Test (CPT). This requirement is for the following VISN 19 facilities: Rocky Mountian Regional VA Medical Center (RMRVAMC), 1700 North Wheeling Street, Aurora, CO, 80045. Billings VA Healthcare Center, 1766 Majestic Lane, Billings, MT. 59102. Fort Harrison MT VA Health Care Center 3687 Veterans Drive, P. O. Box 1500 Fort Harrison, MT 59636, Cheyenne VAMC 2360 East Pershing Blvd., Cheyenne WY 82001, Sheridan VAHCS, 1898 Fort Rd, Sheridan WY, Oklahoma City VA Health Care System (OKCHCS), 921 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK. Jack C. Montogmery VAMC, 1011 Honor Heights Drive, Muskogee, Oklahoma 74401, Grand Junction VAMC, 2121 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501. George E. Wahlen VAMC 500 Foothill Blvd. Salt Lake City, Ut 84148 NCO 19 is performing market research to determine if there is sufficient number of qualified (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB); (2) Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB); (3) Small or emerging small business firms; or (4) Large businesses who can fulfill the requirement. This Sources Sought notice is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. All SDVOSB, VOSB, small and large businesses capable of fulfilling the requirement are invited to respond. NAICS code to be used for this acquisition is 334516. All interested firms who can meet the requirements stated in Summary of Requirements below should respond, in writing, with the following information: Interest and Capabilities Address and DUNS Business category (SDVOSB, VOSB, Small Business, or Large Business) State if interested firm has a NAC or GSA contract by replying with their applicable contract number State how fingerstick glucose is priced? Cost per Test? Cost per Reportable? Pricing per Instrument/Analyzer? (NOTE: Pricing must include all handheld equipment/analyzers/instruments, supplies, reagents, standards, controls, parts/accessories, licenses, any services such as maintenance and repairs, training, and consumable/disposable items) DO NOT PROVIDE PRICING. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. PHONE CALLS NOT ACCEPTED. SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS: 1. VISN 19 needs all handheld analyzers/equipment, reagents, standards, controls, supplies, parts, accessories and any other item required for the proper operation of contractor owned analyzers and peripherals necessary for the generation of fingerstick glucose cost per test (CPT) services. 2. Analyzers are specialized handheld analyzers for the testing of specific parameters of whole blood for therapeutic monitoring and routine testing. The handheld analyzers use test strips and has the hardware capability to attach a lance to prick an individual s finger for glucose testing. The analyzer(s) provided by the contractor shall be handheld/portable, bedside units for use primarily in the clinical areas of the hospital or clinic. 3. An appropriate number of downloaders and carrying cases are needed for the analyzers. 4. Instruments/Analyzers must be compatible with the data management system, UNIPOC. 5. Glucometer accuracy specifications for venous blood should comply with current FDA guidance. Must be Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved for the intended use described within, and meet the quality requirements of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and The Joint Commission (TJC). 6. Must have a six-month supply of a single lot of reagents and controls.
