Description

Description(s): The Health Resources and Services Administration, Bureau of Health Workforce, will be hosting a National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) Industry Information Day. The Industry Information Day is scheduled for June 11, 2019 at 5600 Fishers Lane, Room 5W07, Rockville, Maryland 20857. Onsite registration begins promptly at 8:30am EST with the event start time at 9:00am EST. THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL EVENT. The purpose of this NPDB Industry Information Day is as follows: • For the Government program officials to provide information regarding the National Practitioner Data Bank program. • For the Government to obtain information to better refine its requirements, not to elicit trade secrets. This announcement should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment by the U.S. Federal Government. The U.S. Federal Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Industry Information Day. The information obtained from the Industry Information Day will be utilized for market research purposes. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred as a result of vendor participation in this event. To participate, interested vendors shall: • RSVP no later than May 31, 2019 by noon. • Due to limited spacing, each vendor is allowed to RSVP for one individual total. RSVP to Mario Checchia at mchecchia@hrsa.gov. Your RSVP must include the following: • Company Name • Each attendee's name as listed on a government-issued ID. HHS requires a government-issued photo ID to enter the building. If the attendee is a U.S. citizen or legal resident, a U.S. driver's license, green card, U.S. passport, or state-issued ID from one of the 50 U.S. states is acceptable identification. Please notify us if the attendee is not a U.S. citizen or legal resident and further instructions will be provided. • Each attendee must be identified in advance, and only advance substitutions (3 days in advance notice) will be permitted. Please note: Non U.S. Citizens or legal residents require special pre-registration approval and cannot be substituted. There will be limited time for questions during the event. Also, confirmed attendees may submit questions by June 4th, no later than 5PM. Questions may be submitted to Mario Checchia at mchecchia@hrsa.gov. Please note, telephone inquiries will not be accepted. For reasonable accommodation. Please send a request via e-mail to RA-Request@hrsa.gov at least 7 business days prior to the event. Parking. There is a public parking lot about two blocks from the HRSA building. The address is 12721 Twinbrook Parkway. The lot is located adjacent to NIH. There are two entrances. Use the entrance flagged for blood donors. Parking is $8.00, cash only. There is also limited metered street parking available. Please be mindful that the government will: • Not accept sales pitches or giveaways during the industry day. • Not allow any recording, cameras, tape recorders, or other reproduction devices during the event. • Required that your cell phones be put away during the presentation. • Not provide a call in or conference line. • Publish answers to questions asked during the event.
