Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs, Networking Contracting Office (NCO1) located in Brockton, MA intends to enter into a sole source procurement, pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106-1, with Melling Medical for the following items: Avedro KXL Corneal Cross Linking System Manufacturer: Avedro Part #: 110-02723 Quantity: 1 Avedro Cross-Linking Kit (Box of 10) Includes 1 Box (10 Units) Photrexa Viscous (NDC 25357-022-01) & 1 Box (10 units) Photrexa (NDC 25357-023-01) Manufacturer: Avedro Part #: 700-00001 Quantity: 1 Contractors will also need to provide installation, calibration and implementation of a fully functional KXL Corneal Cross-Linking system as well as clinical and technical training for the Providence VA Medical Center Staff. The Contractor shall provide all tools and equipment necessary to properly and safely install the equipment listed above. This shall include, but is not limited, to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may be required for the work to be completed in a safe manner. The Contractor shall provide any equipment necessary for proper infection control measures during installation. The items listed above will be utilized at the Providence Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Providence, RI. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339112 with small business size standard of 1000 employees. This notice of intent is not a solicitation nor is it a request for proposal. However, interested parties that believe they can satisfy the requirement listed above must clearly identify their capability to do so in writing by Friday, May 31, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. EST time. Responses should be sent to John Shawki at issa.shawki@va.gov. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
