Description

This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring the dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes or proposals and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. Complete demilitarization of the exterior hull, internal equipment, bulkheads, decking, piping and other fixtures between frames 40.5 to 60.5 on the Moored Training Ship (MTS) San Francisco (MTS711) ; for Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) N42158. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract to accomplish the complete requirements of demilitarization. The contract will be awarded using the policies and procedures of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. This requirement will be solicited as full and open competition with a NAICS code applicable to 336611. The applicable size standard is 1,250 employees. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (26-OCT-2018). IT ACTUALLY APPEARED OR REAPPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 29-MAY-2019, BUT REAPPEARED IN THE FTP FEED FOR THIS POSTING DATE.
