Description
This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources (small and other than small) to perform a potential requirement. Purpose and Objectives: Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. NAICS code: 541690 and sized standard is $15M. Project Requirements: The Contractor shall furnish all necessary travel, labor, material, supplies, tools, equipment, documentation, and qualified personnel to provide on-site medical physics and peer review services. All radiation oncologist peer review work shall be performed by a qualified radiation oncologist quarterly; for a period not to exceed 3 months. A qualified radiation oncologist is a person who is certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) of a physician who confines his/her professional practice to radiation oncology or certification in Radiation Oncology or Therapeutic Radiology by the ABR, the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology, or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. All physicist peer review work shall be performed by a qualified medical physicist quarterly; for a period not to exceed 3 months. A qualified medical physicist is a person who is certified in the appropriate subfield (s) by the American Board of Radiology (ABR), the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine, or by the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP). The appropriate subfield of medical physics for this guideline is Therapeutic Medical Physics. (Previous medical physics certification categories including Radiological Physics and Therapeutic Radiological Physics are also acceptable.) The qualified radiation oncologist shall perform a quarterly peer review of the Radiation Oncology Department records as they pertain to the radiation oncologist documents each calendar quarter-not to exceed 3 months. However, the initial review will require reviewing two years of records. The qualified medical physicist shall perform a quarterly peer review of the Radiation Oncology Department records as they pertain to the medical physicist documents each calendar quarter-not to exceed 3 months. The report shall provide the necessary documentation as applicable to Radiation Oncology Service Accreditation. Any deficiencies or non-conformances discovered during the peer review process of data consisting of Protected Health Information (PHI) shall be verbally communicated to the Chief Medical Physicist and to the Chief of Radiation Oncology Service prior to the physicist leaving the facility. The documentation for the review (checklist) will be provided by the Chief of Radiation Oncology upon the contractor s arrival and will be kept and maintained in the Department. This is how VA sensitive information will be protected. A report of the peer review will be supplied to the Chief of Radiation Oncology within 30 days after the review. Any contractor that works on station must complete the VHA Privacy and HIPAA training prior to arriving on station and provide documentation of completed training. Anticipated period of performance: August 1, 2019 through July 31, 2020 plus four (4) one-year options. A tailored capability statement indicating the firm s ability to provide services described in the Project Requirements section. Include certifications to support the requirements. 2. The respondents DUNS number, organization name, address, point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., SDVOSB/VOSB, small, other than small, etc.) pursuant to the listed NAICS code; NOTE: Respondent claiming SDVOSB and VOSB status must be registered and CVE verified in VetBiz Registry https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov/. 3. If the respondent holds GSA contract that can be used to perform the services described, please include this in your response to include the expiration date. 4. Information should be provided electronically in a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format.
