Description

The 910th Airlift Wing, Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio intends to award a Single Source Justification under Simplified Acquisition procurement to Viking Life-Saving Equipment (America), Inc., 11255 NW 106 St Ste 1, Miami, FL 33178 for Viking Quick Donning Anti-Exposure Suits (QDAES). The Single Source Justification (Simplified Acquisition) is attached to this notice. In accordance with Air Force Technical Order (T.O) 14P3-5-111, the Viking QDAES are the only approved replacements of the CWU-16/P anti-exposure suit for usage on the C-130 series aircraft. There are no known sources manufacturing the CWU-16/P at this time. Therefore, the Viking QDAES is required to fulfill this requirement. Pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), the Contracting Officer has determined that circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. This is not a request for quotes, but reponses to this notice will be considered in determining whether to pursue a competitive or single source acquisition. A determination not to compete the proposed procurement based on upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data, capabilities statements or any other cost inccurred in response to this notice are the solely responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
