- This amendment posts answers to questions submitted to this office in regards to this solicitation and site visit held on 22 May 2019. All contractors must acknowledge all amendments to this solicitation by submitting signed copies with their proposals. The purpose of this amendment is to address questions posed by contractors attending the scheduled site visit at Sherman High School on 22 May 2019. Questions/Answers 1. Is there any Existing Conduit we can utilize to pull in camera cables? Yes, building to building. 2. Locations and pictures of existing dark Fiber optic cabling that we are allowed to utilize Attachment 1 depicts the locations for the existing dark fiber optic cabling. 3. Can we get marked on the facility map where your concern areas are/ hot spots you would like cameras to view? Attachment 2 is a map indicating our hot spots ranging from 1 to 10. 10 being the most critical area needed for coverage and 1 being the least but coverage is still needed. If you look at the map we have 10 ¿s, 8 ¿s, and 5 ¿s. Also, as indicated under the ¿Objective ¿ we mentioned having ¿low light and no light areas ¿. Those areas would be part of the ¿hot spot ¿ area ¿10 ¿ on the areas of concerned map. 4. If trenching needs to be performed will local staff be able to locate existing conduits to prevent damage from trenching? Yes, we have staff available to locate existing conduits. 5. Will be able to mount cameras on the buildings facing towards the fence? Yes, under ¿Objectives ¿ it indicates ¿existing structures ¿ meaning we ¿d like to use the existing structure for mounting. 6. Fiber Optic Cable Type? Multi mode 7. Total Number of Cameras requested. PTZ or fixed cameras? As indicated under the ¿Scope ¿ PTZ cameras along Magnolia Ave., and Jackson Street. Fixed cameras along Mission Way fence line, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA Maintenance Road (91 Freeway) and a camera over the livestock and facing Facility Management. Under ¿Task ¿ item number three we also indicated ¿NVRs should be a maximum channel amount to provide adequate surveillance to an 88.1 acres facility ¿. 8. Is the fiber between buildings 62.5 or 50 Micron cable? 1996 Install 9. On the existing fiber cables between Buildings what type of connections are being used, ie. SC, LC, ST? ST 10. Is there currently any free space the contractor can utilize in the existing fiber termination panels in the buildings? Yes 11. Can you provide a map of where the existing cables run.
