- This is a Sources Sought announcement; market survey for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. No bids/proposals/quotes are being requested or accepted with this announcement. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR BIDS/PROPOSALS/QUOTES AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, intends to solicit in the future for Elevator Inspection Services at 13 locks and dams across the District, listed below. The covered geographic area extends across western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, and northern West Virginia. The Government proposes a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) for these services, with individual BPA calls issued for each individual inspection. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow up information requests. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of the Community of contractors to compete and perform Elevator Inspection Services. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of available contractors. The general performance work statement includes, but is not limited to: Scheduled semi-annual load tests, scheduled annual inspections, and unscheduled diagnosis inspections when elevator malfunctions arise. North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this announcement is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors. Small Business Size Standard for this acquisition is $15 Million. Prior Government contract work is not required for submitting a response under this sources sought synopsis. Offerors response to this announcement shall be limited to 3 pages and shall include the following information: Offeror's name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. Offeror's interest in providing Elevator Inspection Services. Offeror's interest in performing service at the specific locations (see list). Offeror's capability to perform an Elevator Inspection Services (comparable work performed within the past 5 years, brief description of the project, customer name, timeliness of performance, customer satisfaction, and dollar value of the project) and provide at least 3 examples. Offeror's type of business and business size (e.g., large business, small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business). Offeror's Joint Venture information if applicable existing and potential. Interested offerors shall respond to the Sources Sought Announcement no later than 11:00 a.m. (EST) on 17 June 2019. All interested contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
