- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office (NCO 2), Bronx, New York, has a requirement for lease and maintenance services of various Olympus scopes, to be used at the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System Castle Point campus (41 Castle Point Road, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590-0100). It is anticipated that the following items will be leased under a proposed firm fixed-price task order: Model PCF-H190DL: Colonoscope with Scope Guide (16 each); Model GIF-H190: Evis Exera III HDTV Gastroscope (8 each). The same proposed task order shall provide for maintenance services of the following: Model PCF-H190DL: Colonoscope with Scope Guide (16 each); Model GIF-H190: Evis Exera III HDTV Gastroscope (8 each); Model BF-H190: Video Bronchoscope (1 each); Model CLV-190: Evis Exera III CLV-190 Xenon Light Source (2 each); Model CV-190: Evis Exera III CV-190 Video System Center (2 each); Model OFP-2 Flushing Pump (2 each). This notice expresses the Governments intent to award a sole-source task order under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(B) Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. Proposed Contractor is Olympus America, Inc. (3500 Corporate Parkway, Center Valley, PA 18034-0610). The anticipated period of performance will be for one year with two one-year options. The requirement does not include a purchase option. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
