- The Department of Veterans Affairs Amarillo Medical Center in Texas is posting this combined Synopsis/Solicitation for a Heated High Flow Nasal Cannulas through the Contracting Office in San Antonio, Texas. The Government intends to make a contract award to a responsible vendor with a fair and reasonable price that can provide the required items in accordance to the attached documents, as a result of this solicitation for quotes. This action is a total small business set-aside for service-disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB) only. The NAICS is 339112. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate evaluations and award decisions. Please submit all required information to Delphia M. Amarillo VAHCS Statement of Work Heated High Flow Nasal Cannulas SCOPE: The Department of Veteran Affairs, Amarillo VA Health Care System (AVAHCS), located in Amarillo, Texas 79106 requires the following: 6 Heated High Flow Nasal Cannula set-ups BACKGROUND: Amarillo VA Health Care System is requesting 6 heated high flow nasal cannulas(HHFNC). These set-ups will be new therapies for the hospital. HHFNC are standard of care in the acute, emergency and med/surg patient populations. HHFNC can provide flow rates up to 40 LPM, high molecular humidity and precise oxygen delivery reducing the need for non-invasive ventilation and intubation in select patient populations, COPD for example. HHFNC can reduce the work of breathing and improve oxygenation. In addition, it may reduce the duration of ICU stay and improve patient outcomes. Definition of Acronyms: HHFNC- Heated high flow nasal cannula LPM- Liters per minute SPECIFICATIONS: Must be brand name or equivalent to Vapotherm Precision Flow Plus Integrated temperature probe, no separate temperature probes or heater wire required Provide up to 40 LPM Invasive and non-invasive temperature settings Trach adaptors Oxygen blenders (oxygen delivery FiO2 of 21-100%) High and Medium alarm priorities Temperature: 33-43 degrees Celsius Ability to be cleaned between patients with disinfection wipes and have disposable circuits QUANTITIES: TOTAL- 6 new WARRANTY Standard Warranty One year on generator and accessories. Replacement parts need to be overnighted to facility. Will extend warranty to two years upon request.
