Description

The Sioux Falls VA Health Care System located at 2501 W. 22nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57105, has a requirement for replacement of flooring and vinyl base trim in Building 5, Pharmacy area. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to complete the following work: Provision of Norament xp 5110 Ara flooring for approximately 1850 square feet of flooring. The contractor shall install new flooring over the top of existing flooring in B92 and B92B. Contractor is required to follow the manufacturers installation guidelines for installation of Nora flooring over existing flooring. Contractor shall remove existing base and install new vinyl base for area identified in drawing. (see attached drawing for area to receive new flooring): Areas to get new flooring: Pharmacy Area B92, Pharmacy Receiving B92B, Pharmacy Office B92A, Pharmacy EMS Closet B91. Contractor shall floor preparation in accordance with Nora Manufacturer guidelines for approximately 1850 square feet of flooring. Contractor shall provide and install approximately 1850 square feet of Norament xp 5110 Ara flooring for areas identified above and in attached drawing. Flooring being installed is specified as Nora flooring. This flooring requires a certified installer to ensure full warranty. It is required the contractor provide the full warranty on this flooring. This flooring requires special installation for floor preparation, installation, and after installation cleaning to ensure its longevity. Contractor shall reference the installation requirements for this floor at the following web address. https://www.nora.com/global/en/installation-care-flooring The Nora Arago flooring being installed will be installed over top of existing tile utilizing the nTx method from Nora with required flooring preparation which must be completed by a certified installer. No demo is needed of existing tile as Nora flooring shall be installed over the top. Contractor is required to buff and clean floor prior to turn over to government in accordance with cleaning and installation instructions. Contractor shall demolish one small area of rubber overlay flooring as shown in picture below in B92. Approximately 200 square feet of rubber flooring overlay shall be removed by the contractor. New Nora flooring shall be installed over existing white VCT tile that is under the rubber overlay. Contractor shall demolish existing carpet in B92A and prep floor and install NORA flooring as described above. Contractor shall demolish existing and provide and install approximately 300 linear feet of vinyl base trim. Wall base trim shall be Johnsonite Wall Base, 4-inch, Color: Pebble 32. Solicitation Number 36C263Q0645 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps www.fedbizopps.gov on or about 10 June 2019. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to quote the project. An Organized Site Visit will be not held. Please see solicitation when available for Point of Contact information to schedule a walk thru of the site. The Period of Performance is expected to be 30 calendar days from the receipt of Notice-to-Proceed (See solicitation when available for actual Period of Performance requirements). THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is Between $25,000 and $100,000.
