- Description
- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking comments and interest from qualified Small Businesses for a fabrication and construction project located near Quartzsite, AZ. The Work consists of the following: 1. Base Work: Properly size, fabricate and install a precast concrete box culvert of sufficient cross-section to convey flow unimpeded, that is, without causing backup. Include one upstream and one downstream reinforced concrete cutoff walls, two upstream and two downstream precast concrete wing walls, one upstream and one downstream precast headwalls, and erosion control and earthwork. The flow shall be the maximum capacity limited to the channel itself in which the box culvert will sit. 2. Additive Work: Construct an ADOT-style, concrete, low-water crossing, and erosion control with earthwork in accordance with the specifications and to industry standards. This is a sources sought notice only. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information from qualified small businesses and conduct market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. A solicitation is not being issued at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. FAR 52.219-4, Limitations on Subcontracting, will apply wherein at least 15 percent of the work must be performed by the small business prime contractor and similarly situated small businesses. A similarly situated subcontractor is a small business concern subcontractor that is a participant of the same SBA program that qualified the prime contractor as an eligible offeror and awardee of the contract. Any information provided to the Government as a result of this notice or any follow-up information requests is voluntary and shall be treated as confidential. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with this or future requests.
