Description

Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) require the development and installation of telephony solutions to have an initial demand capability for a minimum of 420, maximum of 600, telephone lines to support the use requirement in Building 460. The existing telephone Key System Units (KSUs) infrastructure in Building 460 is failing and does not have the capacity for the planned increase in personnel density, requiring replacement and an increase in the telephone line capacity. Qwest Government Services, Inc. dba Century Link is the only firm capable of meeting the phone line capacity increase technical requirements, which is the original contracted service provider (FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i)). Century Link is the only authorized company to work within and provide services to the shipyard in relation to telephone lines. Please see the attached related Justification and Approval documentation for additional information regarding the procurement.
