Description
The Indian Health Service (IHS) is conducting a sources sought to identify potential vendors capable of performing construction of improvements under NAICS code 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. The contractor will replace two existing natural gas boilers with new natural gas boilers, incorporating the direct digital control (DDC) system, piping and connections, and variable speed circulation pumps as described in the attached DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW) and associated attachments. In accordance with FAR 36.204, Disclosure of Magnitude of Construction Projects, the anticipated project magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. Purpose of this Sources Sought: The purpose of this source sought is to identify potential sources, including company's business size classification. Responses to this source sought will be used by IHS to influence acquisition decisions, which may include use of sole source or competitive procurement process; small business set-aside (small business, large business, or small disadvantaged business) and which acquisition procedures are best suited for this procurement. Background Information: In March 2016, Meier Architecture and Engineering completed engineering services for an HVAC controls and improvement project. These engineered documents provided plans and specifications for the correction of several HVAC deficiencies. In June 2017, many of these improvements were implemented. However, budgetary constraints prevented an award to replace the heating water boilers and pumps. The work to be performed under the proposed solicitation will complete the original project by utilizing the Meier Architecture and Engineering designs and specifications to replace the two natural gas boilers and pumps with higher efficiency units. Responses: Interested prime contractors are invited to submit a capabilities statement / narrative demonstrating the firm's experience in construction projects of a similar nature to those described in the attached DRAFT SOW and associated attachments. The page limit is five (5) pages and responses shall include: NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (31-MAY-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
