Description
U.S. Department of the Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Far East (NAVFAC FE), Public Works Department (PWD) Sasebo, Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD) intends to award using 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 a contract modification to SUYA CORPORATION, 1-13-13, Shimonoki, Kokuraminami-ku, Kitakyushu, 800-0236, Japan. The purpose of this modification to N40081-14-D-6507 is to increase the not-to-exceed (NTE) of the Multiple Award Construction Contract for Small Magnitude Project (Mini-MACC) for Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects at U.S. Fleet Activities Sasebo (CFAS) Japan by $2,000,000 from $12,00,000 to $14,000,000. This capacity increase is necessary to execute a task order modification to perform additional crack repairs and outer caisson seat repairs at Dry Dock Number 2 (DD2) located at Commander Fleet Activities Sasebo (CFAS), Japan. Capacity on the Mini-MACC is insufficient to cover this modification. The increased capacity will not be used to award new task orders; it will be used to accomplish additional, recently identified work requirements determined essential to complete an existing, previously awarded Mini-MACC task order with additional capacity included to address potential contingencies associated with the task order. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or a solicitation of offers. However, all capability statements received within 3 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement upon receipt of response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. There is no solicitation available at this time. Please submit all capability statement to the Contract Specialist, Keiko Ujiie at 0956-50-2502 or Keiko.Ujiie1.JA@fe.navy.mil.
