Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. It is the Government's intent to issue a Firm Fixed Priced Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13. The solicitation number is FDA_SOL_1212876. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2019-02 dated May 06, 2019. The appropriate North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 325120 Liquid Propane Gas, Industrial Gases Manufacturing. The Small Business Size standard is 1,000 employees. This requirement is solicited as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Statement of Work The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) requires the supply, delivery, and monitoring of the government owned liquid nitrogen tank located outside of Building 75 at the Federal Research Center, White Oak Campus, 10903 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20993. This freezer repository is critical to the CBER for ongoing experiments and research. Technical Requirements/Tasks: The contractor shall perform the following: Task 1: Monitoring of Tank The contractor shall insure the level of the 9000-gallon tank maintained within the limits of 30 inches to 110 inches and the pressure of the tank shall be maintained between 16 psi to 34 psi, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Telemetry monitoring method shall be used to monitor the level of the Liquid Nitrogen in the 9000-gallon tank.
