- Description
- 36C24819Q0688 QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES Are there fire sprinklers in the buildings that may need heat treatment. If so, what is their temperature rating or color? No If fire sprinklers are in buildings that may need heat treatment and the possibility exists that heat may activate them; With guidance and approval from the COR, may EPA approved pesticide be used in place? N/A How many emergency service calls have been made in the last year? Zero If an emergency service is needed on a federal holiday, is treatment still permitted? That would be considered an Emergency Is HEAT the only treatment application Method Accepted under this RFQ? Are the requirements for HEAT simply a requirement or the RFQ but any conventional treatment method is allowed as long as it is an industry standard. For instance- Tent Fumigation of items like Furniture on side in a truck or vault, Steam applications for treatment of Furniture. Crack and Crevice Treatments with Bed Bugs labeled Insecticide. Heat is not the only treatment, it is the contractor s choice to use chemicals or heat, also have to provide housekeeping with the correct time that they must go in and clean the area once the area has been treated. Emergency treatment for Bed Bugs at JAHVA CBOC Locations. IAW SOW- Is this referring to the a) thru j) on page 1 of the performance Work Statement Bed Bug eradication and Treatments attachment. The 10 locations listed would be for the Emergency Services. That is correct, the 10 locations listed would be treated under the Emergency Calls portion of the contract. It states 12 Calls Maximum a year for Emergency Services Is this stating 12 max per location or a total of 12 Max for all 10 Locations the facilities. This is a total of 12 max covering all 10 locations. When we get a Emergency Service call we are expected to eradicate the infestation upon arrival? Yes The Attachment 1 Price and Cost Schedule is asking for a PRICE per Emergency. This is the estimated price per emergency call to ensure enough funding is on the contract. An Emergency may be a single piece of Furniture or possibly the entire Facility. Am I understanding Correctly that the Emergency Services is a one price no matter the extent of the infestation? Prices can vary depending on the extent, if additional funding is needed it can be added to the contract at a later date. Can I communicate with the Pest Control Department or whomever has records of the past few years of Bed Bug activity in the facilities listed in the RFQ. No you can only communicate with the Contracting Officer but, to my knowledge we have no records of past treatment activity, until this contract it was the responsibility of the landlord of these locations to provide Bed Bug service.
