- NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Office intends to acquire Engineering and Maintenance services for the Washington Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) Correlator. The contractor will provide engineering support for the U.S Naval Observatory ™s DiFX Interagency Correlator. The Correlator is essential for meeting the mission requirement of providing hi-precision Earth Orientation for the Department of Defense (DOD). The proposed procurement is being processed as a sole source requirement to MIT. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541512. This procurement is being conducted, using FAR Subpart 13.5 “ Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. It is anticipated that the solicitation for this requirement will be posted in July 2019. Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring of the below mentioned website for postings of the solicitation and any amendments thereto. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. The Government will neither award a contract nor pay for information in response to this notice. It is anticipated the Navy will solicit a Single Award, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) type, contract. The anticipated performance period is 17 September 2019 through 16 September 2020, with four, one-year option periods. Interested vendors may respond to this synopsis by June 17th 2019. Additional information for this requirement will be listed in the solicitation upon its release, which is anticipated to be in July 2019, to the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website (www.neco.navy.mil). Contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) website (www.sam.gov) in order to be considered for award.
