Description
Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2 is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing semi-annual preventive maintenance on three (3) Joy Air Compressors at the Northport VA Medical Center. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and supervision to semi-annually perform preventative maintenance on three (3) Joy Air Compressors located in Building No. 203, Boiler Plant. The model number for all three (3) compressors is Model No. WGOL-9. The serial numbers are as follows: Serial No. 200924 for Joy Air Compressor No. 1 Serial No. 200925 for Joy Air Compressor No. 2 Serial No. A25639 for Joy Air Compressor No. 3 The size of all three compressors is 7.5 X 5 The critical tasks that the contractor shall perform, semi-annually, on the three (3) Joy Compressors are: Drain receiver tank and check traps for proper operation Change oil, resume operation and check oil for proper oil level and pressure Change oil filter. After replacement, check for leaks Change air intake filters Check the operation of the cut-in and cut-out pressure controls Clean and degrease the compressor cooling fins Check and adjust belt tension Check belt condition. Replace worn belts with matching sets Check sheave alignment and level of shafts Check operation of unloader and check valves Check high pressure safety relief valve Record compressor run times Check operation of all safety valves Inspect coalescent filters and change Record pressure reducing valve settings and adjust as required Check operation of all valve assemblies as required Ensure that the lead/lag/sequencing controls are operating efficiently Air Dryers: Check and record refrigerant pressures and temperatures Clean condenser grill if necessary Operate drain trap and bypass valve Those capable of providing these services should submit a statement regarding their capability on a document containing the official company letterhead to Danelle.Wassink@va.gov.
