Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a sole source solicitation numbered N00024-19-R-4156 for a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract, for the engineering and technical services necessary to disassemble, inspect, repair, clean, and document conditions of all major components of the MT30 marine gas turbine engine to Rolls-Royce Marine North America Inc. (RRMNA), 110 Norfolk Street, Walpole, Massachusetts 02081. The requirement is in support of ongoing DDG1000 and LCS operations. The marine gas turbine engine provides the power required for each hull type to meet its requirements. The contemplated contract will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). RRMNA is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the only company with the requisite expertise, knowledge, experience and facilities necessary to meet these requirements without unacceptable delays. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact RRMNA directly. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
