Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region, is conducting market research for bridge crane replacement located in Washington. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS and is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified Small Business firms. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. The potential contract is to provide two overhead, top-running, traveling bridge cranes in each of the Grand Coulee Dam's Right and Left Powerhouses (four total) for servicing all the respective turbine/generator units and associated equipment. Each pair of cranes is required to operate in tandem, mechanically linked, while using the existing rotor lifting beam with all four main hoist hooks, to handle the combined unit rotor and lifting beam load of 700 Tons. Tasks include existing bridge crane removal and disposal, existing crane rail adjustment and alignment, new crane installation, and perform load tests, and provide operation and maintenance training. The period of performance is expected to be 50 months. Sources are being sought for firms with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 237990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $36.5 million. Responses are requested with the following information: 1. Contractors' name, address, DUNs number, and points of contact with telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. 2. Description of capability to conduct all tasks in the attached draft statement of work. Include what locations of the statement of work your company is able to provide services for and what services can be provided. 3. Past performance/experience on contracts of similar scopes of work, describing no more than three (3) contracts (or specific task orders) completed within the past five years of the issue date of this Sources Sought Notice. The past performance information shall include project title, location, general description of the services to demonstrate relevance to the proposed project, the contractors' role, dollar value of contract, and name of the company, agency or government entity for which the work was performed with contact information (reference name, phone number and e-mail address). If submitting past performance/experience on a project in the role of a subcontractor, include the Prime Contractor's name and a quantifiable amount (percentage) of the project your company contributed to the overall scope of work. NO RESPONSES WILL BE ACCEPTED BY FAX. Submit responses electronically (via Email) to Rhett Beswick, rbeswick@usbr.gov, no later than 14:00 MST, 11 Jan 2019. Responses will not be returned.
