- Request for Information-Sources Sought Notice 36C24919Q0321 This is a Request for Information (RFI) to conduct market research to determine the availability of vendors capable of providing radiopharmaceutical supplies and services for the period of 10/1/2019 - 9/30/2020. This requirement is for the Robley Rex VA Medical Center. This RFI does not guarantee the issuance of an RFQ. If you have the availability to provide the requirement, please respond to this RFI with a capabilities statement. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The VA is not, at this time, seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested vendor s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Requirement The Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky, requires a contract to provide radiopharmaceutical unit doses supplies and services daily, Monday through Friday, and on weekends and national holidays as needed for emergency procedures, for the period of 10/1/2019 - 9/30/2020. Quality Control shall include the use of Federal Drug Administration (FDA) approved products for the medical use in humans and LEU Tc99m generators for dose preparation. Doses shall be prepared in an area that meets compliance with United States Pharmacopeia (USP) 797 and USP 885 compounding requirements. Testing of material from generators may include the following pH testing, percent tag, alumina and 99Mo breakthrough as appropriate. Supporting documentation of all quality requirements will be provided upon request. The contractor must be licensed and in good standing by the state board pharmacy to operate a radio-pharmacy and possess a radioactive material permit/license issued by the US NRC or an agreement state for the receipt, preparation and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals. Please note that requirements defined to date may change before a final solicitation is released.
