Description
36C25219Q0611 Invasive Cardiologist (Non-Interventional) Services The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC), on behalf of the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital (hereinafter called VA), 2500 Overlook Terrace, Madison, Wisconsin 53705, intends to award a one-year contract, with four one-year option periods for Invasive Cardiologist (Non-Interventional) Services. This is a Sources Sought Notification. The VA has an immediate need to contract for one (1) licensed Board Certified Cardiologist who can provide approximately 10 hours coverage Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm on an as needed basis. The schedule will vary from week to week. It is dependent on the number of scheduled consultations, outpatient visits, and diagnostic procedures. The Section Chief, Cardiology Section, or designee will provide a schedule for the contractor and will provide clinical direction. Consultations and individual outpatient visits typically require 30 minutes, diagnostic procedures require two to four hours per procedure. No weekends, holidays, or on-call services will be required. The Cardiologist shall have a full and unrestricted license in a State, Territory or a Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia, be Board Certified, and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency. A current DEA certificate is required. Relevant experience: Must be able to evaluate and treat Veterans with complex cardiac disorders; ischemic heart disease, heart failure, valvular disease, arrhythmias, and associated follow up care as well as possess the skills and experience to perform diagnostic (e.g. catheterization) procedures. The Cardiologist shall provide clinical support for Cardiology Service to include, but is not limited to, the following: Cardiac catheterization procedures Consults as required Work cooperatively with Physicians, Advanced Practice Nurses (APN), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Physician Assistants (PA), Registered Nurses (RN), and a variety of allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive health care services to patients Function as a full team member of the interdisciplinary team serving veteran patients at the VA Document assessments and plan of care for each patient in accordance with policies and procedures Maintain knowledge of new and current clinical methods Contractor s assigned personnel must be computer literate as patient documentation is directly inputted in the patient s electronic medical record. Proficiency in the use of the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA) system and the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) are preferred. All qualified firms who believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to respond to the follow: Firm s background and experience in providing Board Certified Cardiologist services. The capability statement must include a contingency plan to cover contractor services due to unexpected physician absence. Does the firm have an experienced Board Certified Cardiologist capable of providing these services? Would the Board Certified Cardiologist be available to commence working on or about October 1, 2019? Firms shall provide CVs/resume for any Cardiologist personnel proposed to work on the contract (include years of experience, license, DEA Certificate, ACLS & BLS). Firms that are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) or Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) shall include proof of verification in the VIP database at www.vetbiz.gov. Firms shall include proof of registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) system (www.SAM.gov). Estimated contract line item pricing shall be provided and will be used as market research.
