Description

USDA APHIS VS is hosting an Industry Day in Minneapolis, MN on June 26, 2019 for the procurement of RFID Cattle Tags. This is an even to present the plans for a current procurement to representatives form the industry. This event will be held prior to the RFP solicitation. This is an opportunity for the USDA Program personnel to express its goals, schedule and solicit feedback about the procurement. It is anticipated that this industry day will incompass the majority of the day starting at 9:00am and going until both the industry reps and USDA Program personnel have a firm gasp of the requirement and industry input. There may be an opportunity for industry to sit down with program personnel in a private one-on-one session to ask questions and give feedback depending on desire and number of attendees. The goals for the Industry Day are: - To ensure synergy between the USDA program office and Industry representitives. - Incorporate Industry comments into the RFP development process - Communicate interoperability and open standards - Gain a better understanding of recent industry developments - Communicate program requirements and schedule - Provide updates to Industry on future program develpments and acquisistions. The Industry Day is a good opportunity for Industry to get an understanding of the current and future needs of USDA.
