Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region, has a requirement to provide two overhead, top-running, traveling bridge cranes in each of the Grand Coulee Dam's Right and Left Powerhouses (four total) for servicing all the respective turbine/generator units and associated equipment. Each pair of cranes is required to operate in tandem, mechanically linked, while using the existing rotor lifting beam with all four main hoist hooks, to handle the combined unit rotor and lifting a minimum beam load of 700 US Tons. Tasks include existing bridge crane removal and disposal, existing crane rail adjustment and alignment, new crane installation, perform load tests, and provide operation and maintenance training. The worksite is located near the city of Coulee Dam, Washington and is in Grant County. The period of performance is expected to be 27 months. This requirement will be a total small business set aside and issued as a negotiated request for proposals, and specific evaluation factors for the project will be included in the solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333923 and the small business size standard is 1,250 employees. Proposals will be accepted from all responsive and responsible small business concerns. Prospective contractors shall be registered in the System for Acquisition Management (SAM).
