- Pre-Solicitation Notice 36C252-19-B-0056 Project: Building 6 Sprinkler System Replacement Project Number: 695-16-112 Location: Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center has a requirement to replace the sprinkler system in building 6. Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, qualified supervision, and other items designated in this contract in accordance with the specifications and drawings to complete Project # 695-16-112: Building 6 Sprinkler System Replacement at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, 5000 West National Avenue Milwaukee, WI. Building 6 serves as an administrative building on the Clement J Zablocki VA Medical Center campus and is occupied Monday Friday from 6 am 6 pm. The building consists of four individual wings connected by multi-level walkways. This project will replace the existing dry-pipe sprinkler system originally installed in 1953. In heated areas of the building, the dry system will be replaced with a new wet-pipe system. Unheated areas, such as the attic and porch, will be protected by a new dry-pipe sprinkler system. The system consists of four separate fire services supplying a riser in each wing. The existing incoming fire service piping and fire department connections will be reused. The project will be completed in multiple phases. The project magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with a size standard of $15.0 Million. The project is scheduled to have a period of performance of three hundred ninety (390) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued by the Contracting Officer. The solicitation (including any/all specifications and drawings) is scheduled be posted to FedBizOpps (https://www.fbo.gov/) on or about June 26, 2019. The bid opening is approximately scheduled for July 29, 2019. A pre-bid conference/site walk-through will be conducted for this project and the time and date will be announced in the solicitation. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Pursuant to Public Law 109-461, this solicitation will be issued as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), at the time of submission of bids, and prior to award of any contracts, the offeror must represent to the CO that it is a (1) SDVOSB or VOSB eligible under this subpart; (2) Small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to this acquisition; and (3) SDVOSB/VOSB listed as verified in VIP database at: https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov.
