- Under Statutory Authority U.S.C. 253(c)(1) the Government anticipates entering into a sole source procurement negotiations with Consolidated Medical Technologies to Annual Preventative Maintenance Inspection of the Medical Gas Systems at VA Southern Nevada Health Care System in Las Vegas, NV. This will ensure the recommended repairs actions are based on manufacturer s recommendation and settings as well as meet National Fire Protection Association (NFPA-99) standards. All of the associated equipment are located at the VA facilities; Hospital Building #1, #5, ED expansion and Central Energy Plant Building #2 at the Veteran s Hospital on 6900 North Pecos, North Las Vegas, Nevada 89086. The contractor must be certified to work, service, and make proper recommendations to resolve discrepancies with the Medical Gas Distribution System. Inspect, test and verify all components of the Medical Gas Distribution System. Ensure the system does not interrupt normal operations. In addition, the contractor will provide detailed documentations and certifications of the Medical Gas Distribution System to suffice the annual requirements needed for Joint Commission. All technicians working on the Medical Gas System shall be certified for the duration of the contract. A lead technician shall be provided by the contractor that has documented experience implementing large scale projects equal to or greater than the scope of this project to oversee all contract personnel The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source. This announcement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. Other persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement by June 14, 2019, 2:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interest received on or before June 14, 2019, 2:00 PM Pacific Standard Time will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available. Service providers must have been engaged in maintaining/servicing the equipment listed for a minimum of 5 years. Interested service providers must provide evidence of appropriate training/certifications for field service representatives providing services for the equipment listed above. Failure to provide this information will be considered non-responsive and will not be considered a viable source.
