- Description
- Synopsis: Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic intends to award a sole-source task order to Geocent, LLC, (Geocent), 111 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Suite 1600, Metairie, LA 70005. This task order is for functional and technical expertise supporting a wide range of DoN and Department of Defense (DoD) Business Information Technology (IT) systems. Systems will range from client server applications employing interactive and batch processes, to customized web-based solutions operating in a distributed or standalone environment. IT System support in the following functional areas is required: systems engineering, test and evaluation, network security engineering, cloud engineering, cloud security engineering, configuration management, cybersecurity, and validation verification. The Marine Corps Enterprise Information Technology Services (MCEITS) is comprised of two data centers that host dozens of applications used by Marines worldwide. These applications provide Marines the ability to carry out their assigned missions. The MCEITS team needs to perform required upgrades of end of life equipment in the MCEITS classified environment and any delays in replacing this gear could result in application down- time to forward-deployed Marines who are dependent on these applications for their war- fighting efforts. The authority for soliciting from a single source is FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. A Firm-Fixed Price task order with a base year and six (6) month option period is anticipated. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code is 541513, with an applicable size standard of $27,500,000.00. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under authority of FAR 8.405-6. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All interested sources must respond in writing with sufficient information to establish capability to fulfill the requirement within seven (7) days of this publication. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses and/or questions should be directed to Contract Specialist John Stambaugh at john.stambaugh@navy.mil.
