- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District intends to release a solicitation in the near future, seeking a contractor to make repairs and upgrades to the Corps of Engineers' Leech Lake Office, located in Federal Dam, Minnesota. The Corps of Engineers' Leech Lake office facility, located at Federal Dam, Minnesota, suffered water damage from a burst pipe during the winter. The purpose of this project is to make repairs and improvements to the building. Work shall include, but is not limited to, removal and, where necessary, replacement of existing doors and associated frames; installation of vertical blinds on the two new exterior doors; installation of wall framing where doors are removed and replaced as well as for areas where doors are to be removed and not replaced; installation of insulation, poly for vapor barrier, and exterior cedar siding where exterior door is to be removed but not replaced; staining cedar siding; installation of entry door overhead roof at door ID5; drywall repair; drywall painting; and removal and replacement of existing flooring with commercial grade non-slip tile and grout for the entire office. The estimated Magnitude of Construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. This synopsis is not a request for quotes (RFQ), proposals (RFP), or an invitation for bids (IFB). This is a presolicitation notice indicating that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) in the near future. The specifications will be detailed in the solicitation once issued. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. No CD's or hard copies will be available. Offerors are responsible for checking FBO for any update(s) to the Notice. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted at the referenced website. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must be registered with System for Award Management (SAM).
