- The Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ), FL intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Daisy Manufacturing Company for Daisy 1903 Drill Rifle parts. Daisy Manufacturing Company is the only source that can provide this requirement because they are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the Daisy 1903 drill rifle and all its replacement parts. As the OEM, Daisy Manufacturing Company owns all copyrights for the Daisy brand name. Daisy Manufacturing Company does not have any distributors that sell the Daisy 1903 Drill Rifle or its parts. If the Daisy 1903 Drill Rifle is altered by using unauthorized parts, Daisy Manufacturing can no longer guarantee the functionality or that the rifle will meet Navy specification. Without the OEM ™s parts for the Daisy 1903 Drill Rifle, 583 NJROTC units worldwide will not be able to compete in the local and national level competitions. This requirement is for the following replacement parts to repair existing Daisy 1903 Drill Rifles: 138238-000 Daisy Stock Band Muzzle End 138239-000 Daisy Stock Band Sling Mount 138364-000 Daisy Knurl Pin Top Fore End 138234-100 Daisy Receiver 138247-000 Daisy Rear Sight Screw 138240-100 Daisy Rear Sight 168907-000 Daisy Bolt 138243-100 Daisy Butt Stock Swivel Plate 138256-000 Daisy Swivel Ring 138232-100 Daisy Drilled Stock, Plastic 138254-000 Daisy Muzzle Plug 138384-000 Daisy Rubber Butt Plate 138491-000 Daisy Black Nylon Sling 138235-000 Daisy Barrel 138241-100 Daisy Front Sight The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code that these items fall under is 339920 Sporting and Athletic Goods Manufacturing, with a size standard of 750. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to provide this requirement must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide this requirement as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received, within five (5) calendar days after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable items are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining this product through a sole-source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
