- The purpose of Amendment 0003 is to answer questions that were received. 1. What kind of enclosure is expected to be used around the system? i.e. metal shed from Home Depot, or Fiberglass constructed with walls and a roof? Enclosure shall be metal or fiberglass, fully enclosed with hinged metal door and lockable handle. Enclosure shall be permanently secured over the new flow measuring station. Contractor shall provide an enclosure suitable to facilitate access to flow measuring equipment and maintain ambient operating requirements of the Contractor-provided flow and temperature measuring instrumentation. 2. Is the following sensor acceptable to use? (https://www.hachflow.com/flow-sensors/flo-dar.cfm) The Sensor would appear to perform measurements meeting the scope of work requirements. Note that the operating environment for this device is rated for ¿10 to 50 °C (14 to 122 °F). Note: Contractor shall be responsible for providing all ancillary material and equipment (e.g. heated enclosures, protection devices and accessories) required to have instrumentation operate in ambient weather conditions. The purpose of Amendment 0002 is to answer questions that were received. 1. Who is responsible for the trenching for the unit? Contractor is responsible for all trenching, excavation electrical and piping for the unit. 2. What is the inside diameter for the pipe that carries water to the river? Pipe diameter = 36" The purpose of Amendment 0001 is to extend the due date to June 18, 2019 in lieu of June 11, 2019. This Solicitation Notice is to announce the U.S. Department of Interior (DOI), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for the INSTALLATION OF A TEMPERATURE AND FLOW MONITORING SYSTEM located in Lacrosse, WI and in accordance with the attached solicitation. The solicitation number is 140G0219Q0096 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) The policies contained in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation, evaluation, and award prescribed in Part 13, as appropriate, shall be used for this acquisition. This is a 100% Small Business Set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 334513 - Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying and Controlling Industrial Process Variables.
