Not belt or gear driven. 0-4 OD range, 200-1000nm spectrum range and 3.5nm bandwidth ± 0.3nm wavelength accuracy AND reproducibility Spectral scan from 200-1000nm, in 1nm steps, performed in under 5 sec/well Silica Photodiode detector. Fluorescence Detection Enhanced Option: High Energy Xenon 20 Watt Flash Lamp, Adjustable Wavelength Bandwidth (5, 10, 15, 20, 25,30 and 50nm) for both Excitation and Emission Red Sensitive photomultiplier tube (PMT) detector. Spectral Range of fluorescence detection is 230-900nm for excitation and 280-900nm for emission. Dichroic Mirrors: the instrument can automatically select the optimal mirror to use. Enhanced Option mirrors are 50%, 510, 560, and 625nm, with option to install one of the following, 410, 430, 458, 593, or 660nm as needed. Optimal Z focus is derived automatically, not empirically, for BOTH top and bottom read modes. Option for future upgrade to FusionTM Optics. The ability to implement both Filter optics and Monochromator optics and mix their use within a single measurement. Example: Filter wavelength excitation with Monochromator wavelength emission. Option to purchase or upgrade to interchangeable and independent 6 position Excitation and Emission filter holders with read/write memory chips for storing properties of installed filters and tracking their use over time. Filter changes require no tools whatsoever. Luminescence Detection Digital photon counting photomultiplier (PMT) detector that is completely distinct and independent of the fluorescence detector. Dedicated fibers for 96/384 plate formats. No manually installed aperture spoons. Dynamic Range:Enhanced Multicolor Option (9 decades with 1, 2 and 3OD filters) Wavelength Selection: The Multicolor option enables tunable wavelength selection from 360-700 and luminescence wavelength spectral scanning from 398-653nm, all using highly sensitive photon counting detection Mechanical features: Internal Automatic Lid Lifter for removing/replacing plate lids during detection or injection steps- under patent # 9029101. Kinetic Cell Confluence Measurements using brightfield imaging. - enables both continuous live cell imaging and confluence measurements in parallel with quantitative read-outs using other modes of detection. Automatic Cell Counting of up to 8 cell samples in cell sizes from 4-90um Gas Control Module (GCM)- CO2 and/or O2 gas control that is integrated inside the reader. Concentration is recorded and is output in sync with temperature and detector data. Externally mounted injectors with external injector priming process for risk free operation and absolute visual confirmation of injector stream integrity prior to executing methods that use the injectors. Unique Software features that are included by default and active when corresponding modes are installed: Spark software allows for the combination of read modes on a single plate. For instance: Absorbance at 600nm followed by Fluorescence at 485ex/535em. Spark software for fluorescence detection requires no manual pre-read to derive optimal gain or Z focus. When the start button is pressed, the reader can determine optimal Gain and Z focus automatically and then use the optimal settings to read the plate without further user intervention. Gain regulation- Spark software can be set to automatically adjust fluorescence gain during kinetic readings to prevent signal overflows. Combine mechanical actions and detection actions: Spark can be programmed to kinetically read a plate, then: 6.25.1 Remove the lid from the plate when a user defined threshold, such as time or signal level, is reached Inject solution into the wells replace the lid and continue to read the plate for the user defined period Laptop, HP Elitebook Pro G3 6.26.The laptop is provided as part of the system in order to operate the TECAN Spark. Space is limited in our laboratory and we want to have a smaller footprint, so everything will accommodate as needed. Installation Installation is included Installation includes QC IQ/OQ of instrument and software by trained service technician Installation includes onsite instrument and software training for users. Training Training for operation and care of the TECAN SPARK is included and is a onetime training only. Training to use with the Magellan Software is included. One session included at no cost. (Training is independent of the equipment installation and it will be scheduled once the installation has been completed) Warranty Purchase includes 1-year warranty that covers all parts and labor should the instrument require repair. The warranty begins the day after the instrument has been installed and QC d by Tecan service and the installation acceptance document is signed/accepted by the end user. The vendor shall provide Extended Warranty, adds an additional year of warranty coverage for the second year of ownership.
